Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Calls for Unity and Collaboration in Regional Development
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi has highlighted the untapped potential of the province, emphasizing that despite its wealth in natural resources, historical heritage, and human capital, it has not yet achieved the desired level of development. "Now is the time for all of us to work together to make Khyber Pakhtunkhwa a center of growth, prosperity, and investment," he said.
This statement was made during the 6th "Explore and Invest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Region" conference, held at the Governor House Peshawar. The event, organized by Brain Designer, brought together a diverse group of participants, including business leaders, representatives from various chambers of commerce, and the Deputy Ambassador of Malaysia.
Investment Opportunities and Business-Friendly Policies
During the conference, panelists discussed the investment opportunities available in the province and addressed broader national development issues. Governor Kundi also recognized distinguished business personalities by presenting them with awards. He expressed confidence in the province's potential as a hub for trade, industry, tourism, and technology, pointing out that sectors such as renewable energy, minerals, agro-industry, IT, and tourism offer significant investment prospects.
The Governor emphasized the government’s efforts to create a favorable environment for businesses through policies that promote ease of doing business, tax reforms, and the establishment of special economic zones. These initiatives have contributed to an improved investment climate in the province.
Empowering Youth and Technological Advancement
A key focus of the Governor’s speech was the role of youth in driving the province's future. He stated that the real strength of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa lies in its people, especially the younger generation. The government is investing in technical training, technological education, and guidance to develop a skilled and entrepreneurial workforce.
"In the era of artificial intelligence and information technology, Pakistani youth have the potential to achieve global success in every field they just need guidance and opportunities," he added. This sentiment underscores the importance of equipping the youth with the necessary tools to thrive in the modern economy.
Governor Kundi called for collective action from all stakeholders, urging them to unite for the progress and prosperity of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He also extended an invitation to the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) to host their next award ceremony at the Governor House.
Addressing Local Concerns and Administrative Challenges
In another development, the delegation of the Marwat Qaumi Jirga, led by former district nazim Al-Haj Hidayat Ullah Khan, met with Governor Kundi at the Governor House Peshawar. The delegation included prominent figures such as PPP Lakki Marwat General Secretary Qismat Ullah, Ali Sardar Khan, and Malik Waqar Khan.
During the meeting, the delegation raised several concerns, including the law and order situation in Lakki Marwat and the persistent issue of unannounced electricity load shedding. They also discussed the need for royalty from oil and gas resources, the status of the Marwat Canal, and matters related to the Kurram Tangi Dam project.
Additionally, the delegation highlighted administrative and financial challenges faced by Lakki Marwat University and requested the Governor's assistance in making the cadet college in the district operational. They also urged the Governor to address the matter of constructing the FR Bettani main road with relevant authorities.

Governor Kundi listened attentively to the delegation's concerns and assured them of his full cooperation in resolving these issues. He emphasized that peace and security are essential for the development of any region and called for collective efforts to restore and maintain stability.
The delegation expressed gratitude for the Governor's positive response and commitment to addressing their concerns, highlighting the importance of continued dialogue between local communities and provincial leadership.
